Open Cooling Tower

Operation principle for an open-circuit cooling tower :
The hot water to be cooled is pumped to the top of the tower through pipes. This water is divided and distributed over the packing by water sprayers.

Forced by the fan, the air enters the lower section of the unit and escapes through the upper section after being heated and saturated by passing through the packing.

As a result of surface tension, created by the exchange surface , the water is dispersed uniformly and flows along the whole height of the packing. The water, cooled by mechanical ventilation, falls into the sloped basin at the bottom of the tower.
